Right Worshipful Brother Adam A. Miranda was born on October 30, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois. He was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on January 17, 2018, in Kelvyn Park Willing Lodge No. 1075, where he later served two terms as Worshipful Master in 2020 and 2021. He currently serves the Grand Lodge of Illinois as Grand Representative to the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Colorado and its Jurisdictions, is a Certified Lodge Instructor, and is working toward qualification as Grand Lecturer.
He was Exalted in West Suburban Chapter No. 207 on May 6, 2019, serving as High Priest in 2022 and as District Deputy Grand High Priest for two years. He currently serves as Treasurer of both Lincoln Park Chapter and West Suburban Chapter and is serving his second year as Excellent Grand Steward of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Illinois. He is also a Level II Certified Instructor.
Companion Miranda was Greeted in West Suburban Council No. 103 on April 22, 2021. He has served as Thrice Illustrious Master of both West Suburban Council No. 103 and Siloam Council No. 53 and currently serves as Illustrious Grand Captain of the Guard for the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Illinois. His recognitions include Cryptic Mason of the Year (2023), the Ish Sodi Award (2024), District Instructor of the Year (2025), the King Arthur Ritual Award, and the Grand Master’s Leadership Award (2026). He is a Silver-Level Certified Instructor and is working toward Gold Certification with the goal of serving on the Board of Grand Examiners. He also served as Sovereign Master of Alvin L. Crump Council, Allied Masonic Degrees.
He was Knighted in Evanston Commandery No. 58 on November 2, 2019. A Past Commander, he currently serves as Prelate of Evanston Commandery No. 58 and Treasurer of St. Elmo Commandery No. 64.
He is a member of Central College in the York Rite College and is also a Knight Mason.
Beyond the York Rite, Right Worshipful Brother Miranda is an active member of numerous Masonic organizations. He is a member of Medinah Shriners, where he participates in ceremonial work and serves in the Police Unit. He has served two terms as Monarch of El Jaala Grotto and is a charter member of Chi-Ill Grotto. He is a member of the Sciots and is a Tall Cedar.
He has been a member of the Scottish Rite valley of Chicago since November 10, 2018, serves on the Ancient Craft Degree Team, and is currently Master of Ceremonies for Gourgas Chapter of Rose Croix in the Valley of Chicago. He is also a plural member of La Grange Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. His grandmother, Blanca Marzo, and his mother, Delia Marzo, are members of the Glenview Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. He also serves as an Advisor for Trident Chapter, Order of DeMolay.
Above all, Right Worshipful Brother Miranda considers his faith in Jesus Christ to be the foundation of his life and service. His greatest goal is to glorify God by serving others and using Freemasonry as an opportunity to live out the principles of his Christian faith. Having grown up in a challenging area of Chicago, he hopes to inspire younger generations by demonstrating that one’s past does not determine one’s future and that a life dedicated to faith, service, and brotherly love can make a lasting difference in the world.
